First Aid at Work
A practical and 3-day enjoyable course delivering the skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. It will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
What we'll cover
- Accidents and Illness
- Using a first aid kit
- Simple record keeping
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Heart attacks
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- Wounds & bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning, gas & fumes
- Fractures, bones & joints
- First aid equipment & hygiene
Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Upon successful completion of this three day course, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practice for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary.
Lunch, tea and coffee is included.
This course runs 9am-5pm each day.
You must be able to carry out CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation). You will be taught how to do this, but you must be physically able.
